There are a few different things that are going to be mentioned in this update. I’m typing this up at the end of April, so things could change a little bit before this goes live.
- Surgery
- Book(s) I’m reading
- Books I’m working on
Surgery: I’m scheduled to have surgery in May. It’s something I’ve been looking forward to for a very long time.

What I’m reading: A lot of things, but the book I want to highlight is “A Little Off” by Kenneth Hummell. Click the cover or the title for a link to Amazon. I met Ken in a local writing group and he’s an amazing person, let me start there. His work will keep you on the edge of your seat and make you want to keep reading. While this is a collection of short stories and they are perfect as such, you’re going to wish they were longer pieces. Every time Ken reads something in our writing group we’re silent until he finishes. Then we’re shocked for a few moments and then the excitement begins. He’s been nervous to bring us some pieces because they’re “raunchy”. I use that term loosely because for me, they’re not, but for many they are. We were all so excited when Ken said he had this book coming out and I’m almost finished with it. As far as I know he has plans for more, but I do know he has more stories he’s going to be sharing with our group.
Go check out Ken’s book. You won’t be disappointed.
The last thing I’m talking about for this post is what I’m currently working on.
- I Know Collection
- Next Chapter
- Awake Again
- Releases for next year!
I Know Collection: Yes, I’m still planning on releasing this 3-book digital collection as one physical book.
Next Chapter: Still planning on releasing this one too.
Awake Again: I finished writing this one! So now I’ve just gotta type everything, make covers, and do all the proof stuff (like I need to with the other two books listed above).
Releases planned for next year: I’m already at the point of working on the first book that’ll be released next year. It already has a title, but I’m not revealing that yet. I have two releases I’d like to get out next year.
Personal junk otherwise? I’m trying not to drown. It feels like there’s a lot going on and there is. I don’t like that fact. I don’t like feeling like I’m drowning or treading water. But there are things I’m looking forward to and that I’m planning for the rest of this year. I’m looking at possibly stepping back from some things. At the time I’m typing this? I don’t know yet what that looks like. There’s a lot for me to think about.
Peace for now all.
