Holy wow was February busy…
I got a lot done with the site in a way. I scheduled poems to be posted once a month for the rest of the year. I have a planner specifically dedicated to my writing things and while the writing stuff will still go in my regular planner I want to have a little more separation for when I want or need to specifically focus on the writing things.
I spent a week with Vitca and it was incredible. Hopefully he feels the same, lol.
I have the first two books of the year ready for formatting and that’s not going to be done yet. I’m taking a break from even thinking about those two projects for at least a week. I the flat covers done for them and I’m happy with how they look. The one I’m happier with than the other, but eh. That’s life, right?
A friend turned me on to a poetry contest and I’ve submitted three pieces to it. It’s for a local art museum. We also got word about some things from an art gallery in a nearby city and I submitted a short story to the local yearly writing contest called Snowbound Writers.
As of the time I’m writing this I’m officially 100 poems down in the third book I’m going to release this year. 140 to go… It’s starting to feel a little daunting when combined with other things happening in my life. I’ve officially decided on one title for that project. I’ve been bouncing around between two different titles and with the help of some friends I settled on one. One of these folks has been my friend Sophia Nye. If you haven’t already, go check her out. I’m in love with her fantasy romance book series and can’t wait for the next one.
Vitca got a new laptop and I have inherited his old one. It’s a gaming laptop and I’m desperately hoping I’ll have more time this year to game and use it for so many things. So far it’s been an over-powered writing machine.
When I say there’s a lot going on I mean there’s a LOT going on. I hit a point of being overwhelmed with things, actually. There’s no shame in saying it. I used to think there was and I tried handling everything on my own. I learned the hard way that it’s okay to let people love you, but that’s how my support system got to grow. For now, I’m going to head off and get some more work done. Stay safe, all. Peace for now.
